Asiko

Terms

Last updated 16 August 2026

Asiko is free to use, and nothing here is hidden in small print. The short version: we show you what the naira market is doing and let you keep your own record of it. We are not a bank, we never touch your money, and the numbers we show come from sources we do not control.

By using Asiko you agree to these terms. If you do not, the app is free to delete and you can remove everything we hold first — see Privacy.

Rates are information, not advice

We show what the market is doing so you can decide for yourself. We do not recommend when to exchange, we are not financial advisers, and nothing in the app is a personal recommendation. Alerts tell you a rate you chose has been reached. That is a fact about the market, not a suggestion to act.

We cannot guarantee the numbers

Official rates come from third-party data providers. Parallel-market rates are gathered from publicly published sources. Both can lag, go stale, or be wrong, and the app shows you how old a figure is precisely because that matters.

Always confirm the actual rate with your provider before you send money. The rate you see in Asiko is not an offer and nobody is bound by it.

We are not part of any transfer

Asiko never moves your money and never holds it. Whoever you send with is a separate company operating on its own terms, and your relationship is with them. Provider comparisons are our reading of publicly available pricing at a moment in time; fees and rates change, and the provider's own quote is the one that counts.

Your ledger is yours

You own what you record. It stays on your phone unless you ask us to back it up. You can export it or permanently delete it whenever you like, from Settings → Your data.

Backup is a copy, not a guarantee. Keep your own records of anything that matters financially or legally — Asiko is a personal tracker, not an accounting system or a substitute for your provider's receipts.

Your account

You can use Asiko without giving us anything. Adding an email exists so your ledger can come back on a new phone, and access is by one-time code, so keep control of that inbox. We may remove accounts that have been inactive and hold nothing, and we will remove any account being used to attack or abuse the service.

Fair use

Use the app as intended. Do not scrape it, automate against it, overload it, or try to break it. This is what keeps it free for everyone else. We may limit or withdraw access where that is being ignored.

The service can change

Asiko is free and provided as-is. We may add, change or remove features, and a data source or transfer provider may become unavailable at short notice. We do not promise the app will be available uninterrupted, and we will not always be able to warn you first.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from a rate that was wrong or out of date, an alert that did not arrive or arrived late, the app being unavailable, or anything a money-transfer provider does. Decisions about your money are yours.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you use Asiko as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.

Who operates Asiko, and under what law

Asiko is an independent project operated by Opeyemi Agbeja from Nigeria. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute — though we would much rather you emailed us first.

If you use Asiko as a consumer in a country whose law gives you protections that cannot be contracted out of, you keep those protections. Choosing Nigerian law does not take them away from you.
